///M Coupe

Performance

The M Coupe is pretty fast in stock form. With a published 0-60 time of only 5.1 seconds, this car is really moving. But, there is always the search for more power and more sound and more music. I had tried two exhaust and two air filters on the car already. The first exhaust I installed was consisted of two Apex N-1 mufflers. This setup saved a lot of weight, but gave a noise that was no where near the BMW's engine music. I ended up parting with that exhaust and returning to stock. With time, my ears got tired of the quiet factory exhaust, so I ended up buying a pair of Magnaflow stainless-steel mufflers. Now, this is the sound that I was looking for. It is not too raspy, and not too loud. Just good, deep and all music. Adding to this is also a Dinan intake and Dinan computer upgrade. The whole package added a good power improvement and also improved the soundtrack of the engine. The combo that the exhaust and the intake give is just unbelievable. I am scared now to drive the car, because I can not stay out of redline. Every time the rpms drop, I want to wind them up again to 7K and just hear that engine sing. I tried an HKS filter on my car before going with the Dinan, but that intake had no heat shield whatsoever. It just happened to fit the factory location and made some noise. I am glad now to to  have a package that works together and that actually sounds good also.

Magnaflow VS Apex-N1

Apex exhaust, from the back      Hmmm... It really changed the look of the M Coupe      I guess that they didn't fit the car that well. I am glad to have them off.

This picture is a little bit sideways. The car was about done now.      Here I am backing up the car. You missed the sound of it!      Another picture at the exhaust from underneath.
