Safety
Due to the
fact that I drive my M Coupe on mountainous roads most of the time, I decided to
add better lighting since the factory ones were inadequate in my opinion. I
really liked the look of HID lights on newer BMW's and Audi's, so I began my
search for the best lighting. I found a kit that was going to easily fit into my
factory location with no modification. This kit is sold by Phoenix Microlite,
and includes everything you need from the Ballasts to the HID bulbs. The whole
process doesn't take that long. I have everything documented below with some
pictures of the lights after the installation.
Hid Kit. One Ballast & one
bulb per side.
Installation:
Installing the kit in
the driver's side of the car was very difficult, given the limited space and the
dust shield which was a pain in the @$$. Also, I have an aftermarket air filter,
which makes it easier to mount the ballast and gives you more space to work.

In order to remove the plastic shield, I had to cut this rubber piece.
Ok, with this out of the way, I am ready to take the plastic shield.
This is the passenger side ballast, before being installed on the washer bottle.

How does it look
like?
Ok, here are some
shots of the lights being used. Excuse the low quality pics. Still learning to
use my digital camcorder.

I hope that the
pictures are good enough. I know that I need to take the pictures under better
lighting, so please wait for my update. This is the least that I can do now.
